Converting From a Soft-Top to a Hard-Top:
YJ-Converting to a hard-top isn't that big of a deal. You'll need to remove all the factory soft top rails and windshield header. The top will bolt down using factory holes in the tub. You will have to drill a few holes in the windshield frame to attach the front half of the top. Some people choose not to use the front holes, so they skip drilling the windshield frame. As for the doors, on a CJ/YJ you'll need full doors, or round upper door skins for your half doors. If your top has a rear wiper and defrost, you'll have to get a harness and switches from Jeep to make it work. TJ and CJ/YJ tops are not interchangeable.
