Converting From a Hard-Top to a Soft-Top:
YJ-If your YJ came with factory hard top, and you want to use a soft top, you will need all the railings, bows, and windshield header. The windshield frame will require some drilling to mount the new rails. The rails on the tub mount in the factory hard top holes. For the doors you have two choices, you either need half doors with upper door skins, or you need a top with rounded corners to seal with your full doors (rounded corner tops are only available aftermarket, no factory top came like this!). TJ and CJ/YJ tops are not interchangeable.
TJ-If your TJ came with factory hard top, and you want to use a soft top, you will need all the railings, bows, and windshield header. The windshield frame will require some drilling to mount the new rails. The rails on the tub mount in the factory hard top holes. Since TJs top have rounded corners, you factory full doors will work fine, or if you wish you can track down a set of half doors and door skins. TJ and CJ/YJ tops are not interchangeable.
